Experimentalist, explorer, and inventor of intermedial solutions of visual art expression. His artworks are sketches and studies at the same time. A gesture of sketch – an expression of study. The collages are watercolours and drawings; all in one. An outright provocation - for senses and for anchored visual prejudices. A spirit of rough sketch and breath of life. Unreal as a man’s dream and as real as a genuine woman. Always opposed. For that magnetism of, with fate divided poles Tugi has peculiar and very complex sensitivity. Senses? That is his nature. That tension in which a spark joins refined sensitivity and sarcastic interpolation (anima and animus, soul and beast!), comic strip and fine art, imaginative topics and emphasised materiality, a tension that always surprises – that’s Tugi.
